Description

ELECTRIC WATER PUMP (EWP ® ) & FAN DIGITAL CONTROLLER KIT

The EWP®/Fan Digital Controller controls the operation of your chosen EWP® by varying the speed of your pump in response to coolant temperature and manages the control of your electrical Thermatic® Fan.
No separate thermal switch required.

Provides optimum control of Davies Craig 12/24 Volt electric water pumps and electric fans.
Suitable for EWP ® 80, EWP ® 115, EWP ® 130, EWP ® 150, Thematic ® / electric fans and electric water pumps in billeted style.
The controller has an improved appearance, is slimmer and the seven-pin plug is safely tucked away out of sight on the underside of the controller.
It has 2 mounting options:

  1. Parenthesis
  2. Nylon plate

The EWP ® /Fan Digital Controller has two specific functions:

  1. Will the operation of the EWP ® manage by varying pump speed in response to coolant temperature
  2. Take control of your electric motor's fan.

The controller has a push button to lock out any temperature from 40°C (104°F) to 110°C (230°F).
It is recommended to set/orient the controller to closely match your engine's existing thermostat temperature.
The digital controller will automatically run the motor's electric fan once the motor has reached +3°C (+5,4°F) above the target/set temperature.
Another important benefit is that the controller allows the EWP® and fan to continue to operate after turning the ignition off for 3 minutes or -10°C (-14°F) of the set/target temperature to allow for heat soaking. to eliminate.

The contrasting black and white screen and comprehensive engine cooling management diagnostics menu at a glance include;

  • Numeric LCD display with real-time numerical running motor and target/set temperatures
  • Flashing EWP ® logo indicates pump pulse, width, modulation (PWM) operation and delivers the desired coolant flow through the engine
  • Individual adjustable target/set temperatures from 40°C (104°F) to 110°C (230°F)
  • Spinning Davies Craig Thermatic ® Fan symbol indicating the operation of the fan (which automatically enters operation occurs at +3 º C (+37,4 º F) above the set/target coolant temperature.)
  • Your set/desired temperature can now be memorized when the battery is disconnected.
  • Override function to assist with EWP ® -vent operation.
  • Voltage output.

A range of self-diagnostic 'test' functions are still offered that identify and issue visual and audible warnings, allowing for easy troubleshooting if there is an obvious system problem.
An audible alarm sounds when;

  • * Coolant temperature does not exceed 40ºC (104ºF) within 5 minutes of startup.
  • * Coolant exceeds +10ºC (+50ºF) of set/target temperature.
  • * Coolant temperature is above 100ºC (212ºF).
  • * Voltage supply is too high or too low.
  • * EWP error.
  • * Temperature sensor error.

The LCD EWP ® /Fan Digital Controller controls the operation of your chosen EWP ® or wedged electric water pump by varying the speed of the pump and subsequent coolant flow in response to the engine coolant temperature, also managing the thermal regulation of your electric Thermatic ® motor Fan/s.

The EWP ® /Fan Digital Controller becomes the new 'thermostat' of the motor and now has individual targeted temperature settings from 60°C (140°F) to 110°C (212°F).
Programmed by simply pressing and holding a button to set!

In combination with a Davies Craig Thermatic Fan ® , or other electric motor fans, the temperature of the engine cooling system can be controlled more accurately.
The EWP ® /Fan Digital Controller will control the EWP ® also operate after engine ignition/shutdown, circulating coolant and faster heat dissipation more efficiently to avoid heat soak.

If the engine temperature cools below the target/set temperature, the EWP . will ® /Fan Digital Controller from full system voltage back to 12 or 6 volt operation and return to pulse width modulation (PWM) mode while cruising on the highway.

Major improvements to the updated LCD EWP ® / Fan Digital Controller;

The temperature setting is a simple push button adjustment. Individual set/target temperature options starting at 60°C to 100ºC (212ºF).
The EWP ® /Fan Digital Controller is factory set at 85ºC (185ºF).

To prevent heat immersion, a built-in automatic time-out function ensures that the EWP ® allow engine coolant to circulate for up to 3 minutes or until coolant temperature has dropped to -10◦C (-14F) below set/desired temperature to eliminate heat soak after engine shutdown.

Thermal temperature sensor – can be mounted in the thermostat housing, the upper radiator hose or the top of the radiator or engine block near the engine coolant outlet.

The LCD EWP ® /Fan digital controller weighs only 90 grams (3,2 oz) and can be mounted simply and easily anywhere in the driver's compartment.

The LCD EWP ® /Fan Digital Controller can be left at the factory set 85ºC (185ºF), making the engine warm up smarter and improving the engine management of the vehicle's cooling system.
Many drivers may choose to select a higher set point for even faster warm-up and greater economy, by switching to a cooler engine setting when full power is needed. It's that simple.

Davies, Craig's updated LCD EWP ® / Fan Digital Controller continues to be a top quality product and ensures that the increasing number of EWP ® s will deliver the ultimate engine cooling experience.
The LCD EWP ® /Fan Controller is designed and developed in Australia!
The digital controller, an EWP® and electric Thermatic® motor fan(s) are three outstanding examples of ingenious Australian innovation and design.
