Description
The Mocal differential oil pump is suitable for use in gearboxes, as well as turbocharger oil cooling systems and water cooled brake systems.
This pump is self-priming and can be placed anywhere in relation to the intake.
Note: When mounted vertically, the ports must be down to prevent leakage in the motor.
Remove 2 countersunk screws to turn the entire 'head' to simplify connection.
Direction of flow is marked on the ports.
3/8 threaded NPTF adapters in the ports.
The body is made of lightweight nylon, care is advised when tightening to avoid damaging the housing.
This pump is not equipped with a bypass, this can cause damage in case of blockage. For this reason the pump should not be switched on until the oil has reached a temperature of at least 70 ° C.
Use 3/8 ”hose of at least 6 dash or larger.
A pre-filter MUST be used before the pump otherwise damage will be caused by debris, this is not covered by the warranty.
Operational problems can be caused by:
-Hidden lines
-Leak in the suction line
Faulty engine
Badly connected (+ = RED - = BLACK)
-Tear in the case
- Jammed camshaft bearing
Destroyed diaphragm; make sure the oil has reached the correct temperature.
Dirt in pump; always use a filter.
